THE HILLBOTTOM END ADAMS PARK This is the 'away' end at Adams Park. It is situated at the near end of the ground and entry is gained by using Entrance 2. This area was seated for the first time at the start of the 1996/97 season in order to maximise the revenue generated from away fans. This controversial decision reduced the capacity by 50% to around 1,000 and as predicted caused problems during high demand games. The capacity of this area was then increased back to just over 2,000 during the summer of 2001 when it was extended with a further eight rows of seats. The increase in capacity meant that other areas of the ground (The Valley End and The Old Main Stand) had their capacities reduced (by a total of 977) to ensure that the total capacity of the ground was maintained at 10,000 to meet a planning obligation associated with the agreement for the 2001 extension. A £275,000 grant from the Football Foundation help pay 75% costs of the building work for this extension. There are no fences. One Toilet block (Male and Female) situated directly to your right on coming through the turnstiles. One Refreshment area close to the turnstiles.
