Wycombe Wanderers Ladies Football Team 2005-2006 Latest News, Results and Fixtures Latest news: The first team suffered two postponements as the fixture programme entered December. First on Sunday 27th November Carterton failed to raise a side, while seven days later the away game at Aylesbury fell foul of a waterlogged pitch. The team will hope to resume action on Sunday 12th December with a 2nd Round League cup tie. The first team has struggled through the early part of the season, seemingly only able to win cup fixtures. But a hard fought 4-3 victory over newly promoted Thatcham at the end of October broke the duck and lifted the team off the foot of the table. This was followed by an excellent performance against Reading Girls in a game that finished 2-2 on Sunday 13th November. Meanwhile, the Reserves have started the season well and are comfortably in the top half of the division. Due to teams withdrawing from the league a sub-league competition has also been established for the TVCWFL Division 2 (North) and (South), which will take place alongside the main league and cup fixtures.
