Background:Started his football as a trainee with Newcastle United but failed to break into their First Team and after loan spells with both Carlisle United and Hull City, made a permanent loan to the latter in December 2002 - Peter Taylor then being the Hull City boss. Taylor also signed Green as Crystal Palace Manager in August 2006. Made 24 Football League appearances for Palace but failed to feature after Taylor was sacked in January 2008 and was transfer listed before signing an 18 month deal with Blackpool. Made just one Football League start for The Seasiders before Peter Taylor opted to sign the right sided midfielder again in July 2009.
